See how these shards bob like canoes in the unquiet harbors of dusk?
But you could just push them aside with a sweep of your tusk!

Ganesh, I am thirsty for home and the sandalwood acres
Whose roots lap at pools of rain-soaked clay and release them as deep sighs of nectar.
See those tall pines, their ecstatic embrace of the silent regard of the stars?
We danced beneath their canopy once, Ganesh, you have brought me far too far!

Ganesh, I am hungry for the cool barefoot days of my wandering,
Before I was weary beyond my years and Parvati was just a low hum in my ears.
